San Francisco is one of the largest cities in California and has been attracting tourists from across the globe for its sloping hills, its juxtaposition of modern architecture, cable cars and trams against large Victorian houses, its famous landmarks, like the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz and its general cosmopolitan culture which creates an amazing hub for contemporary arts and lifestyle pursuits. On this magnificent tour you’ll explore the wonders of San Francisco via a zebra printed safari vehicle, a Catamaran and a Seaplane. The various transport methods have been selected to offer guests exquisite views of San Francisco with the luxurious addition of the wow factor.

Land:
The tour begins with a more intimate look at San Francisco aboard a safari vehicle. Although your guide will take you to the city’s most famous features, the tour also offers a closer look at San Francisco that shows off the daily culture of the region; you’ll see art installations, visit movie sites and venture into picturesque towns with unique characteristics.

Air & Sea
For the second part of the tour you’ll board the Catamaran. You’ll cruise along the waters while enjoying the San Franciscan Bay winds or sip on crisp Californian wines as you indulge in spectacular landscapes from the cabin. Your captain will sail under the Golden Gate Bridge, circle Alcatraz and then head to Sausalito and Kirby Cove where you may even be accompanied by dolphins, whales and sea lions, which often grace the Catamaran with their presence.

The wow factor continues with breathtaking sights offered to you aboard a Seaplane. You’ll fly over the Golden Gate Bridge, passed the financial district in downtown San Francisco, around Alcatraz and Angel Island and along the charming water facing cities of Tiburon, Belvedere and Sausalito. This once in a lifetime opportunity not only provides a unique San Franciscan experience, but an exquisite picture taking opportunity – offering a point of view that is simply out of this world. This is all rounded off with an impressive water landing.

Prison:

You get to go to jail! The tour includes admission to Alcatraz - step back in time and experience the legendary island that has been a civil war fort, a military prison and one of the most notorious federal penitentiaries in US history. Your memorable tour includes: award-winning audio presentation featuring actual correctional officers and prisoners who lived and worked on the Island, orientation video by Discovery Channel, ranger and docent tours, as well as historic gardens and abundant wildlife. (Audio tour is available in multiple languages.) You get to stay as long as you'd like. The sail time is time and date specific, but once you get there, you choose when you come back. Ferries return about every 30 minutes.

Tour operates: Daily 1 April to 31 October; Fridays and Sundays 1 November to 2 December; Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays 1-10 March; Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays 11-31 March. Does not operate 3 December to 28 February.

Start Time: Morning departures. The exact pick-up time is confirmed to you locally.

Duration: Please allow 2 days to experience all the elements included in the ticket as you cannot do all four things on the same day. Land portion- 4 hours plus time at Alcatraz; Sea portion is 1.5 hours, and air portion is 1.5 hours, including complimentary shuttle from San Francisco to hanger and return.

Includes 4 hour tour of San Francisco in an open air heated safari vehicle including blankets and pith helmets for all guests; 1.5 hour tour on a Catamaran; 25 minute flight on a seaplane with guaranteed window seat; see the Golden Gate Bridge, Twin Peaks, Golden Gate Park, Angel Island, Financial District; return ferry ticke to Alcatraz and admission to Alcatraz.
