Muir Woods National Monument Park and the San Francisco Bay Area town of Sausalito boast two very distinctive aspects of San Francisco. Muir Woods National Monument Park is home to a great wealth of wildlife. The park’s key feature is the looming Coastal Redwood, the tallest of the trees in the forest reaching an amazing height of 258 feet tall. On the other hand Sausalito offers an insight into the daily culture of another of San Francisco’s aesthetically unique and fascinating towns.
The tour begins with an early morning wildlife expedition at Muir Woods National Monument Park. You’ll cross the Golden Gate Bridge before the city has woken ensuring that you arrive at the forest just in time to watch the forest come to life. The delightful smell of redwoods, the invigorating fresh air combined with the early morning sun’s rays peering through the thicket of trees in this untouched and silent setting evokes a profound sense of peacefulness.
You’ll then head to Sausalito, located towards the northern end of the Golden Gate Bridge, where you’ll embark on a wonderful venture into this water facing town that possesses spectacular views of waterfronts and peculiar houseboats. You’ll return to San Francisco, once again, crossing the iconic bridge and arriving just in time to see the city come to life.
