  Dolphin Lagoon

  Minimum Age 6 years

  The dolphin swim experience is the centrepiece of your visit. Begin with an introduction to these beautiful animals and then with one of the trainers, head down to the Dolphin Lagoon in groups of no more than ten into the shallow waters to start your dolphin swim experience. Meet and play with a dolphin for 30 minutes, getting to know each other through hugs, kisses, rubdowns before a one-on-one swim together.

  The Grand Reef

  Beyond the sandy white beach lies a whole other world, Discovery Cove’s new tropical reef. Immerse yourself in waters teeming with sea life… where thousands of exotic fish and rays await you. Everyone is invited to wade, swim or snorkel freely through this vibrant reef. Safely share the water with exotic eels, lionfish and sharks. Explore water-side trails and bridges to one of the reef’s many islands.

  Explorer’s Aviary

  Just beyond a spectacular waterfall, you’ll find a series of towering Aviaries. Here, you can soak in all of the sights and sounds as you encounter hundreds of tropical birds nose-to-beak while they feed right out of your hand.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to book a date or can I leave it open?

Because Discovery Cove limit attendance to 1000 people per day, we have to book a date for you. During busy periods such as Easter and Summer, we would require at least 2 months notice in order to secure you a place.

Do you need to be an experienced swimmer for Discovery Cove?

No, life jackets are provided and you don't have to go out of your depth.

What is included in the dolphin all-inclusive price?

Your Discovery Cove experience includes everything: a dolphin swim experience; unlimited access to all swim and snorkeling areas; the Free-Flight aviary; a sumptuous meal; use of a mask, snorkel, life vests and/or wetsuits; towel; locker, parking; lounge chairs and beach umbrellas.

How long is the dolphin swim?

The swim will consist of a 30 minute introduction with the trainers and a 30 minute group session with the dolphins. This will be followed by an optional 30 minute debrief for any questions.

Do Discovery Cove tickets also include a pass to SeaWorld, Aquatica and Busch Gardens?

The Discovery Cove Choice Package includes 14 days access to either SeaWorld OR Busch Gardens, which can be taken either before or after the swim date. Alternatively, you can opt for the Discovery Cove Ultimate Package which includes 14 consecutive days entrance to SeaWorld, Aquatica and Busch Gardens.

What are the age restrictions?
Guests of all ages are welcome at Discovery Cove. To swim with the dolphins, however, guests must be at least 6 years old. There is no charge for infants 0-2 years.
 
When should I arrive?
Park operating hours are 9.00am to 5.30pm. Check-in begins at 8.00am. We recommend arriving early so you can enjoy a full day at this beautiful park.
 
Is the dolphin swim available to guests with disabilities?
Discovery Cove can accommodate guests with disabilities who are able to manoeuvre themselves with limited assistance (or with the aid of a personal assistant) during their dolphin experience and in the various wading locations.

Can I use normal suncream At Discovery Cove?
No. Specially formulated sun tan lotion, that is safe for the animals’ habitats, will be available. Please leave your sunscreen at home.

Does the Discovery Cove Ultimate Package and the Discovery Cove Choice Package including Busch Gardens include transportation to Busch Gardens Tampa Bay?

Free transportation to Busch Gardens Tampa Bay on the Busch Gardens Shuttle Express is included in the Discovery Cove Ultimate Package and the Discovery Cove Choice Package including Busch Gardens. The service departs from SeaWorld® Orlando and throughout various locations in the International Drive and Kissimmee areas. Pre-booking is a must and reservations can be made by calling 1-800-221-1339. The service is subject to change.

Terms and Conditions

•  Discovery is a reservation only experience and you must choose the date you wish to visit at the time of booking.
• Children must be at least 6 years old to swim with the dolphins. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult to gain entry to Discovery Cove.
• You will be issued with a Discovery Cove booking confirmation which you have to present upon arrival at Discovery Cove. Discovery Cove no-longer issue hard tickets
• Children between 6-12 years old participating in the dolphin swim experience must be accompanied by an adult who also is participating in the dolphin swim experience. There is no minimum adult to child ration, so one adult can accompany more than one child.
• Visits to SeaWorld® Orlando, Aquatica™ and Busch Gardens® may be taken before or after your visit to Discovery Cove.
• All bookings for Discovery Cove are subject to 100% cancellation fees within 30 days of your booked visit. There can be no refunds for amendments (for example to change from Swim to Non Swim) or cancellations within this period.
