Try expedia, they are very good.Put in flight & car as usually cheaper than doing flight only.
Virgin fly into MCO, but usually more expensive.
All flight into Sanford are charter flights i.e. Thomson/Mytravel/First Choice/Thomas Cook etc.
Check them all out first.
Hope this helps.

all charter flights fly into Sanford with scheduled into Orlando Int
I would check out the internet and keep looking and checking as sometime you will see the prices drop. Depending on whether you want direct flights, in which case with either be with Virgin, BA or any of the charters or the indirects which covers all the american scheduled airlines, indirects are cheaper options, and if you wish, you can always get a 'stayover' in your 'hub' airport, we flew to Orlando with Continental from Manchester via New York, on our way back we stayed in New York for 2 nights to do a little 'shopping', the flight price is the same, all it cost us extra was our hotel accommodation - and the shopping of course! :) this can be done in any of the US hubs which include Atlanta, Dallas, Chicargo, Philadelphia, New York plus others - you have to arrange this at booking though before your tickets are issued
a couple of good sites are:
www.ebookers.co.uk
www.opodo.co.uk
www.expedia.co.uk
www.airline-network.co.uk
www.lastcallflights.co.uk
www.cheapestflights.co.uk
there are loads more so keep looking!

another good site is http://www.travelrepublic.co.uk they only do charters, but you can compare prices of all the main charter tour operators and, book online, rather than just make a request and get someone to phone you back...

THE BEST AIRLINE IN THE WORLD AND ARE BRITISH! THEY ARE ALSO CHEAPER THAN ALL COMPETERS ON FLYDRIVE OFFERS INCLUDING BA (WHO ARE RUBBISH). THEY FLY OUT OF GATWICK, HEATHROW AND THE UP AND COMING MANCHESTER. FLIGHTS FROM SCOTLAND AND BIRMINGHAM ARE ALSO AVALIBLE. IVE FLOWN 10 TIMES WITH THESE TO ORLANDO AND ARE SIMPLY THE BEST. ANY PROBLEMS E-MAIL ME robert_duffill92@hotmail.com :) :) :D :D

Your sweeping statement that Virgin are cheaper than anybody else is simply not true. There are a large number of factors that affect airfare prices such as the time of year , the time of booking , direct or in direct flights , regional airport departure etc etc. I have flown into florida 4 times in the past 12 months with other airlines cheaper & with a much better standard of aircraft / customer srevice 3 out of those 4 times. My own opinion mirrors that of Mr Orlando that Virgin will be at the bottom of my list in the future.
We all have our own experiances of trips to the states on various carriers. I think that most of the negitive comments directed towards Virgin are from those of us who fly out of Manchester. The 747's used for Man - Orlando are probably the oldest in Virgins fleet.. They are cramped , scruffy always packed with screaming kids ( Not Virgins fault lol ) & the dvd syatem in the headrests are also often faulty . ( In both directions in my case at Easter 2004) It's about time they put on a decent aircraft for those people who fly from airports other than Heathrow / Gatwick.
On a happier note i'm flyong out from Manchester to Orlando on Friday with Continental via Newark . I'll let you all know how Continental fare when i get back . :D :D :D

I have to agree that I don't think that Virgin are the cheapest nor do I think that the aircraft they use out of Manchester are anything other than awful!!! However, during the winter months (especially from Manchester) the choice of direct scheduled flights to Orlando is limited - why have other airlines such as BA not thought about offering a service?
My experience with Virgin last Feb was okay, we were disappointed with the aircraft & the service on board left alot to be desired, but we were on time both ways so I can't complain. We go again at the end of this month with Virgin and I'm just keeping my fingers crossed for the same again!
PS As of April 05 there will be a "new" jumbo doing to Manchester - Orlando flight though how new remains to be seen!!!

I have just booked my flights for November this year with Charter Travel everyone on the net and local travel agents could not beat the price. Adult Flights £269 and Child Flights £169 + Tax and that's Virgin flights would not fly with another company, also went direct to Virgin and they could not beat the price.
