I see Flamingoland are in the process of building an SLC. Kumali it's called and it looks quite sweet. Not sure if it'll put Nemesis at AT to shame, but we'll see.
Those that had a look on themeparkreview.com might have seen some of the construction videos.

Lightwater valley isn't too good in my opinion. Other than the Ultimate there isn't a great deal there that I enjoy. "The Rat" used to be good but is showing it's age.
Flamingoland seems to be investing quite a bit of money lately. As mentioned they are busy building their SLC (Kumali), and have only just put in a new Vekoma Booster bike coaster, Velocity, last year (Similar thing to Rita but with bikes you ride in a forward lying position). :D Unfortunately "The Bullet" was taken out. :(

Maybe some of the new members have been here recently? Thinking of taking the kids over the Summer, would like to know if there's much for 7 - 10 yr olds.

It's a fairly well mixed park for kiddies / adult rides. They have a website but it's not a lot of help. I'd say you'd be fine with most age groups.
