Hi Veronica,
We had a great time. Managed to fit in The Colosseum, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, St Peters, Vatican Museum, Roman Foram, The Pantheon & numerouse wonderful squares and churches.
My favorite was St Peters, wow, the size of it is amazing. The Sistine chapel was amazing as well, When you first enter and look at it you think whats the fuss, but as you stand and look and take it in you realise just how brill it is. Biggest dissapointment was the Spanish Steps, as the name suggests they are just steps.
We fell on our feet with our hotel, when i booked it i was a little worried about the location, turned out it was a mile away from the Vatican but best of all is that our room had a large rooftop terracce with a view of St Peters. Just the place to enjoy a nice bottle of wine in the evening.
Every time you turn a corner you come to another church all of which are steeped in history or another museum it realy is an amazing place if you like your history, architecture or art.
It is also great if you like ice cream :D that was pretty amazing as well, well worth a visit just to sample it.
Will be strange going to Disney in August a real chalk and cheese experience.

:) Wow, sounds fantastic. Your hotel view sounds wonderful. I'd love to see the Sistine Chapel and St Peter's. Sounds like a real Culture Vulture break. Don't think my kids would appreciate it though - except for the ice cream!
