Can anyone recommend a clean basic motel on I'Drive? I'm thinking of the Quality or Holiday Inn? Has anyone been there?

When I visited Orlando in Feb 04 I stayed at the Quality Inn International and it was fine. The accommodation is your basic motel type, but the place was clean & tidy & the food in the buffet restaurant was good too!

We stayed at the quality inn plazza which is on international drive opposite the pointe orlando shopping centre and on one side of the hotel is a pizza hut, a sizzler steak house and a rather good chinese restaurant. One the other side is helicopter flights. Also, next to pointe orlando shopping centre is wonderworks, which is pretty good for a half day. But if you want my advise though I`d just get a fly/drive and stay a either a condo or a villa depending on how many people are in your party.

We have stayed in Masters Inn on I Drive on Jamaica court twice. The rooms are clean it has a good size pool which was not to busy (September). This year we are staying in La Quinta which is just across the road from Masters Inn. We have found that the (2 star) hotels/motels we have stayed in on I Drive are all pretty much of the same standard. That is big rooms which get cleaned daily.
What we look out for is the location. The area just south of Sand Lake road has so much within walking distance.
Such as Wonder Works, Ripley's Believe it or not, the Mercado and the Point.
There are also plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance my favourite is write net door to Masters Inn, TGI's sports bar.
If you go too close to Sea World you will find you will have to use your transport a lot more.
Close to Universal is OK for bars and restaurants and of course City Walk and the Universal theme parks but I just much prefer to be a little closer to TGI's.;)
