A good way to beat the rush when you get off the plane is to walk fast as you can past everyone else.

Beats having 30 people in front of you at the immigration Q than 300

it is quicker, but personally i like to just relax. its a holiday after all. Actually i find people who run or walk very fast pushing their way through the crowds really hack me off. Get your brain in gear and ask for a seat really close to the front of the plane. saves the rushing.

yeah you could do that - i just like to get out in the car then relax

Dont get me wrong, i can see the logic in it. I just hate rushing around on holiday. I love the airport atmoshpere anyway so i like to just relax and go with the flow.

dont know what it is but i always end up in the wrong que no matter what i do, be it at the supermarket ,airport etc.

i get in the shortest one and it ends up going the slowest ,so i ususally swap and the one i was in starts going faster. :(

so now i dont bother rushing , as i will still be in the wrong que

NEVER go to the "quicker" line. Its all in the head. Just stay in the queue you started in. Dont forget you are being watched in the Immigration lines, you shifting around will make you look nervous and you'll be interrogated by your immigration officer. Lets face it - the yanks dont need much of an excuse to hassle people these days!

it also depends on how many planes are landing at the same time as you. We were at the back of the plane on this trip, so last ones off and got through immigration fairly quickly
