Going to florida in October and Have hired a car. I know they are automotic but have heard stories of a third pedal ( poss Handbrake?). Anyone confirm this. Have only driven an automatic once in the UK and had problems keeping my left leg occupied!

Hi there, I have rented many cars in Orlando.
On some cars in America there handbrake location is different, however there are some handbreaks like home here.
The third pedal is located on the far left hand side in the footwell so there will be no fear of accidently pressing it down ( it is also stiffer than the other pedals )
To set the h/break you press down on this pedal, and to relesae it there will be a button just under / next to the stearing wheel. DONT WORRY it is really simple.
Any futher advice please contact me

The quick answer to you question is BOTH !!
Some cars have the gears on the stalk, others have the gears like ours.
Dollar, Alamo and Budget have gears like ours.
Have fun overthere !!!!!
