6 Flags is ROLLER COASTER Heaven and "X" a 4D Coaster is the BEST ride I have ever been on and i have been on quite a few around the world!!

Queues can be REALLY bad here but i went last time in February and it was Ok.

Again not the glitz and Glamour of a Disney/Universal but makes up for it with the MANY MANY White Knuckle Rides!

Yeah I went in Aug 04 ( didnt have time to post a reply sooner), had a fantastic time.

Shame X broke down when i was about to get on the ride.

When i was there 2 rides were closed, why I dont know.

And I got to the New 4D coaster - cant remember the name, i thinks its X or X scream, that broke down when i was nearly about to board - waited an hour and decided to forget it.

The Q's are really long though.

NO single rider lines and no fast pass system - unless you pay for them. $45 for 6 tickets. NOT ALL RIDES TAKE THEM THOUGH

I went there 4 times last year, in Feb they were running an offer where a year pass (Play Pass they called it) was the same price as standard addmision. :) I've still not ridden Superman as it has been closed everyday, but X and Goliath are amazing. The fast passes are worth it to jump the long lines, but as someone else said they don't work on every ride every day. Also if it rains go that day, the locals will stay away completely.
If your in LA for a while Knotts Berry Farm is well worth a visit also www.knotts.com

We have a supplier in LA and I HAD to visit them a couple of times

i have been to 6 flags magic mountain 5 times i travelled there from anaheim, where disney is. 6 flags has some of the best rollercoasters not as crowded as disney parks and well worth the money. i recommend knotts berry farm the cheapest theme park i have ever went to and plenty to do not as commercial as disney etc and the Q's are not as bad, lots for younger kids.

spencem

When I went to Knotts they were running an offer for half price addmision after 2pm, since they were open until 11 or midnight this was a good deal.
Riding their huge 'woody' in the dark was quite an experiance
I had a colegue with me who had never been on big coasters, so we went to Knotts Saturday afternoon/evening and then onto Magic Mountain on the Sunday. It was one way to cure his jet-lag :D

Mr Orlando
11-01-2006, 04:47 PM

Six Flags Will Recruit Buyers for Six Parks

NEW YORK (Bloomberg News) – Six Flags Inc., the second-largest US theme-park operator, will send out detailed financial information today on six amusement parks it's considering selling to potential buyers, Chief Executive Mark Shapiro said. "Books are going to you-name-it, anybody and everybody," Shapiro said in an interview. "Strategic are involved, financial are involved. There's international involved. There's a great deal of interest." In June, Six Flags announced it was considering selling six parks, including one of its biggest – the Magic Mountain property outside of Los Angeles – as it works to pare debt. Also under review are parks in Seattle; Denver; Houston; Buffalo, N.Y.; and Concord, Calif. The company plans to sell the parks as a package, Shapiro said.
