Hotel Change

We've just had our hotel changed to the Orlando Grand Plaza formerly Orlando International Resort and Conference Centre and before that Ramada Inn Resort.

Has anyone been??

The reviews on Trip advisor etc are not very favourable and I'm starting to worry. This is my first time to Florida and now i'm more worried than looking forward to it.

HA !! TRIP ADVISOR ..... please don't believe everything you read on there !!!!


They have many responces from Americans - and they moan about everything.


Hotels I stayed in last year had really bad reviews espicially Straposphrere in Vegas but that hotel was more than OK


Just 1 more point - How long will you really be in the hotel for ?


There is loads to do in the day loads of restaurants to go to at night.

I was in the same hotel May 04 when it was the conference center.

Its not the best one on I drive but its got a great location 2 pools and really nice staff.

We had the service of the free shuttle bus which was a great saving, but the drivers were really grumpy.

Its not the best looking hotel (a lick of paint would improve it) but you are really never in the hotel except to wash and sleep and the majority of hotel rooms are the same no matter how dear you pay.

I was our first time in Florida and had done a last minute allocated on arrival so the hotel was a total gamble but it really paid off and we are going back in October hoping to book directly with the hotel this time.

the stories about cheap park tickets are not really true as you need to spend a day at a time share thing with the really hard sell to get them discounted, so recommend you stay well away

Recommend to your right as you come out the hotel Dennys diner and to your left the ponder rosa.

I have the same worries as you as Tripadvisor slates our hotel too and as this is our first time to America and even abroad! I have to admit as to changing the original hotel we booked because of really bad reviews on that website but now with 3 months to go thinking that we are only really going to be sleeping there as there is so much to do we will be up and out and probably back late in the evening.
