Can anyone tell me how Mears transportation between attractions actually works??! I'm travelling to Orlando in July and Staying at Disney's Wilderness Lodge... not hiring a car, but wanting to visit Universal Studios with as easy and economical transfers as possible! Seems like Mears Shuttles are as good as any but can someone tell me how I would get a pick up once in Florida? Is it simply a case of booking one in the lobby of my accomodation!? And once at the attraction, how on earth do you find your bus again!

Any other suggestions greatfully received!!!!

Thanks!

Yep you can book it at the guest relations counter in your hotel lobby **or** you can call and arrange it yourself.

On return from the park the van/bus/coach will either park in a numbered lane or have signs in the front window.

The I-Trolley runs up and down I-Drive all day and is cheap. Also depending on how many people are in your party, a taxi cab may turn out cheaper, as transportation companies charge arround $10 per person.

192 area (old town) to Universal in a cab was $23, Transportation companies wanted $15 each (there were 4 of us) so getting a cab worked out cheaper

We used the mears transportation when we went in 1997 not for my family I'm afraid. They came at certain intervals during the day but in the evenings we had to wait up to 30 minutes for them to arrive when the parks closed sometimes longer. After that you can well have multi hotel drops on route to your own, not ideal when travelling with kids. Most nights it was midnight or after before we got back. You should price hiring a car for the week. Mears can work expensive enough if you are using them most days.
