Visa hell

Hi, does anyone actually know how strict they are upon eneterng the US, do they tend to just turn you away if you have been imprisoned, just found out i have to get a visa and wont get one in time, was a driving offence and was not imprisoned, how do i stand on getting through customs,
have spoke to us embassy and everyone else just if anyone has any experience with this.

Depends on what you mean by driving offence. I've been into America the last two year with a driving offence. Points for speeding. If you read the letter of the law about Visa's then I would need one too. I have never been refused!

to get the visa is a nightmare and expensive busness, my 16 year old son was refused a visa for having a criminal record and I found the embassy very unhelpful with a line to call which costs £1.50 per minute. Before booking a holiday be sure to have your visa as they can turn you back on entering the country. By the rules a driving offence needs a visa but take the chance other people I know have not declared and got in, but being an honest person I did not want to take the risk and now he cannot come on holiday with his family. :(

Hi you should be fine. I got a visa for having no car insurancebut when i spoke to the women at the embassy she said although they tell you that you need a vsa for all offences they will not arrest you for car offences. Just make sure you fill in the waiver form as having no offences
