I heard that if I wanted to use any UK appliances in Florida I needed something called a voltage converter. Is this true and what is it exactly I need to get?

Ive used my Camcorder / Digital Camera charger in Orlando with no converter, also ive used my mobile fone charger, and they have worked fine.

Hi, we took a converter, got it from a camping shop before we left, NEVER again, it blew up my hair dryer the first time i used it as the voltage is so different over there. Now always use the hotel dryer and have got a gas filled styler. Everything else as mr O said we had no problem with, i certainly wouldnt buy an adapter just for the two weeks again. Good luck
