Is it true that they have giant tortoises here? :D I am a complete tortoise freak :)

Yup! They do have them. I'm not sure if they ever do small animal encounters with them, but they seem like a likely candidate.

How about turtles? Florida is full of turtles. You can hardly go anywhere without seeing them, and we have even had to stop our car occasionally to lift them out of the road where we live (not far from Disney)! You will find gopher tortoises in some of the state parks in the area, but Busch certainly has them. If you visit Guest Relations when you arrive there, they will be able to tell you if they are doing any animal encounters with them on that day :)

yu they certainly do, we spent ages with them when we were there last year, they were really friendly and came up to the edge of their pen, i was giving in a scratch on the head and every time i stopped he would look up as if to say - ahum i didnt tell you to stop...... was only as we were leaving we noticed all the big signs saying not to touch them as they bite!!! woops! well this old chap was lovely and friendly :)

I think they've also got giant tortoises at Gatorland too :D

they do have them in gatorland or did in 2006 whn we went there

I intend going back to busch Gardens this year so I will also look forward to the tortoise. I cannot remember seeing them on my last visit to BG - I think it was in 2002. The reason we haven't been back is because I turned the wrong way on to the road coming back and we drove about 30 miles or so before we found a rest area which enabled to turn arounfd again and head back in the right direction.

The Tortoises were there this year.

They are def in Gatorland too.
We saw them in June.
You can pay to buy some food and get in there with them and feed them!
