Just checked these links out, really really useful info Mr O. Especially helpful for nervous first timers. Great walkthroughs with pictures too!

The 'as live' walk-through section is especially valuable. ALL first-timers should study this carefully, as it will take away a lot of the anxiety of landing in a big, strange airport, amongst a LOT of other hesitant, nervous people!

MCO is a wonderfully spacious, clean and user-friendly airport, but it can be distinctly bewildering to the newcomer, and this is a great way to prepare yourself. Well done again, Mr O.

(We always feel we have 'arrived' back in Orlando when we step on the shuttle tram from the satellite terminal to the main terminal, and that familiar tannoy announcement officially welcomes us to Orlando! Memorable stuff)

Except we hear it so often we can't remember what it says! :D

Something to the effect of 'Welcome to Orlando International Airport. Whether you are here visiting our world class attractions or make Orlando your home.....something, something something.....'

We always smile and say, 'Both'. :)

One big difference I notice is, even though it's an International airport it doesn't 'feel' like a huge place. Heathrow (and even Gatwick) feel huge to me, with lots of accents and languages, which adds to the confusion (don't get me wrong; it's great fun to hear when you aren't worried about where you are and where you need to be!). MCO has more of an intimate feel about it, even though it is very open and bright.

Chicago Ohare is another great International airport, but doesn't have the same level of 'homeyness'. Washington Dulles, on the other hand....YIKES!
