Has anyone out there had trouble joining the new frequent virgin club.

I was a member of the old club for 8 years and I was informed by Virgin that I would be
invited to join the new club.
When the new club was up and running I tried to log on to members only website but could not, on speaking to a Virgin Rep I discovered that they had no record of myself or all the
previous holidays that I had taken with them (in total over 11 years = 11 holidays).
I had to send an e-mail with all contact details plus membership number, holidays booking ref etc to them and they promised they would look into it for me.

After a couple of days I did get a phone call saying they were sorry and it did look like some previous members had not been transferred to new club. They have promised to send out new cards etc but it will take up to twelve weeks and until that happens I cannot book up for next year.

Has anyone else had problems with Virgin? :

Sorry to hear this MM. This sounds yet another in a series of administrative glitches that Virgin have experienced so far this year. They DO seem dedicated to getting it sorted out, though, so I would hope you will be fully incorporated into the new scheme sooner rather than later.

Hopefully you will get some more input from other Virgin members soon.

We were members of the Frequent flyers club but our membership got cancelled this year due to non use. The last couple of times we went to Orlando we used Virgin air miles to upgrade to Premium Economy and you have to book your flights with Virgin Atlantic direct who don't recognise the FFC. It does seem daft as they are all Virgin companies but they seem to run separately.

Ive had the same trouble with the new virgin FVC. I foned them & was told my membership no. didnt exist & it was an invitation basis only now & you have to spend £6000 on holidays in a 4 year period.

I have spent a fortune like you & had not been transfeered to the new system.

I was also advised that they would send me the new cards etc but that was over a month ago & still nothing.

I am a flying club memeber with virgin atlantic so can still get my 10% discount that way so im not too bothered, but i think it is a poor show when they do not automatically upgrade us old members to the new scheme. So much for loyalty hey.
