Ok, not quite London, but that's where we're headed today. Just wanted to post a quick hello and say we've had a fantastic time so far, with a full day in London yesterday (did the Big Bus city tour, which was very good) seeing all the tourist stuff.

Today we're off to London Dungeons, Tower of London and the War Museum. Sort of a 'horror tour', I guess!

One thing that surprised me was, a lot of Brits we talked to hadn't done the main sights in London. Is that common? There is so much fascinating history there, it surprises me to hear so many 'locals' haven't gone into some of these places.

Anyone here not done London's highlights yet?

I did them all when I was younger and went to London Dungeons when I was at Uni but I haven't taken my son to any of these things yet :o

My Dad was in the Scots Guards and used to guard Buckingham Palace, the Tower etc so we've been back and had the full tour with fascinating stories many times. We went back a couple of years ago. Hampton Court is our very favourite place to visit.

Susan, glad to hear your enjoying your trip. Pity you didn't call to see me when you were in Ireland ! I'd have taken you and Simon for a ride on my trike or in the hotrods. London is fantastic so keep smiling.
