My daughter who is 12 suffers from really severe sickness when flying, and I mean severe. She can be sick up to 10 times on a long flight to Orlando. We have tried everything and nothing works. So after hearing about a medicine called Phenergen, we decided to give it ago. It is a mild sedative which is also used for travel sickness. It can only be given on prescription ( in this area anyway as some people have been abusing it). i gave it to her just before we boarded and it was amazing she wasn't sick once. She did sleep during most of the flight but after getting out of bed at 2.30 am i thought this was normal anyway. It was the first time she has eaten anything on the plane and when we landed she was fine definately not sluggish or sleepy and there was no side effects.
Would use it again.

Thats good to hear. Travel sickeness is a horrible thing to suffer from and always makes the start of a holiday a dreadful time for sufferers. On the plus side she *may* grow out of it. As a child i used to feel/be sick on just about any mode of transport - car, bus, boat but curiously planes never bothered me as you cant feel the speed. I have grown out of it though although on the boat i have to stay outside in the fresh air. Not great on an Orkney winter day with gale force winds, rain and 10ft waves crashing over the boat. But being wet and cold is better than being sick in my book!

I use it for my son when he starts coming down with Strep Throat. He gets horribly sick and Phenegren stops that, plus makes him sleep all day while the antibiotic starts working. It's fantastic stuff.
I"m so glad you found something that works for your daughter. What a blessing!

I asked about this at our local boots and the youg "Trainee" Pharmacist sold us a full bottle on the spot!!! Dont know if its prescription only but the box definately lookls like it should have the usual sticker on it! She did go over all the uses and dosages well though so it may not be. Plus its sweet orange flavoured so its obviously ained at kids.
Gonna try it with our little one, hopefully the drowsey causing part should help a lot too.
