Hi Everyone,
I'm looking at going on a cruise next April for another birthday milestone 21 1/2
I have never been on a cruise before and was wondering has anybody got any advice on which company to use, we will be taking 1 child with us. Any advice will be much appreciated.
Steve.

Having never been on a cruise myself the only one I would suggest would be a ....Disney cruise!!
Friends and relatives have been on cruises round the Med and the Caribbean and really loved it. I am sure others here will know what are the best companies to go with.:happy-thumb

Simon's the real cruise expert in the Veness household, and hopefully he'll be along soon to give his suggestions.
We did a fantastic Med cruise with Ocean Village one year, but I'm honestly not sure how that particular line would be with a toddler. I'm no help at all, other than to say cruising the Med was one of the greatest trips I can remember. Just fabulous! You'll really enjoy it, no matter who you end up booking with.

I will look forward to Simons views, it has to be a Med cruise because the daughter has a phobia to injections!:thumbsdow

Ouch! OK, I'm going, I'm going...........
Sheesh, can't a guy take his time here any more........ *exits, grumbling*
Ok, in all seriousness, there are two companies that would be top of my list for a Med cruise with children (if they are under 10-12), and that would be P&O Cruises (www.pocruises.co.uk) and Royal Caribbean (www.royalcaribbean.co.uk), who I rate extremely highly for their children's facilities and programmes. P&O is the all-British version of cruising, while Royal Caribbean is a more American and glitzy style.
If your child is a bit older, you could also look at NCL (Norwegian Cruise Line), Celebrity and Holland America, as all offer great ships and good onboard programmes.
Hope that helps, but feel free to come back with any further queries, steve.

Thanks for that Simon hope the ribs are ok, found one with Royal Caribbean, but seen the same cruise with Thomas Cook for £750 cheaper so will be booking that one, prefer the glitz and glamour, well thats why we go to Orlando ever year. Thanks for your replies.
