That's great, FM! All the while the dollar is weak against the pound, we're happy! Let's hope it lasts a while longer. :happy-thumb

That's a fantastic rate FM, I have just got 1.97 and that is a preferential staff rate with my bank.

www.tegforex.co.uk is back up to $2 to the £1 today - and no fees!
I have about $1000 in cash/travelers cheques; I wonder whether I should get some more ...

we went to our travel agent harvey world travel and got 1.978 which seemed quite good it certainly seems on the move upwards again which is good news. banks always seem to stiff you and give crappy rates and most ttravel agents give you a half decent rate if u exchange a large amount of sterling. harvey world travel dont have this they just give you a good rate with no minimum spend . their rate is better thank marks and spencer which until before i thought was the best. we have been getting our currency bit by bit before we go

Yes, we got ours last Autumn when it was over $2 - the best I got was £2.04!
I may get another couple of hundred before we go. Trouble is, we're totally skint at the moment and I've got to pay my car tax this month. :thumbsdow
