Are you able to listen to your Ipod/MP3 player on the plane?

Yes, once the plane reaches cruising altitude.
I've moved you to your own thread so the question doesn't get lost in an unrelated thread. :)

Well, Susan has already answered your question, but just to confirm, yes, you can. I've used my iPod on numerous occasions. You have to turn it off for take-off and landing, but once the Captain turns out the seat belt signs after take-off, you're good to go! :happy-thumb

Not thick at all, ang & co. It's hard to know what's ok and what's not when things change as much as they have. :)
Your laptop and DVD player will be fine, again once you reach a certain altitude.
