Hi everyone, does anyone know if its correct that the twilight checkin for Virgin flights has been increased to opening hours of 12noon - 9pm previous day to your flight?

Oh I thought it had only just changed Adrian. Oh well I'll make sure I'm there at 12 to get a good seat (hoepfully)! Cheers

Its well worth doing, you can book your seats upto 11 months before free of charge if you want.

That's handy - I didn't realise you could do that. I may think about that then, although we are going on 21st July so might as well wait till then. Have you flown with Virgin? what seats would you recommend for lots of room in Economy class?

It depends how many of there are of you, theres 4 of us and we like to sit in the middle 4 seats in the rows we find them a bit more spacious than the 3 next to the windows also try to get on the rows between 26 and 37 this means you get on last and your first off when you arrive out of economy, also the nearer to row 26 you get served with drinks and food first.

There is 5 of us going - Me & Hubby with 10 year old son, 16 year old son and his 16 year old girlfriend.
both of my sons want to sit by the window, so I thought the best way would be to have me, hubby and 10 year old in the 3 next to the window with my eldest son and his girlfriend either behind or infront, that way they can both have window seats.

OH, decisions, decisions - I have had to make so many for this holiday, still it'll be worth it when we get there - Can't wait:purplejum

Believe me Adrian, May will come round so quick, we booked ours 18 months ago which seemed like an eternity at the time, but now - oh my god! how the weeks have flown by only 2 1/2 weeks to go now. Thanks for your advice on the seats, I will definitely keep it in mind.

I think your bigger problem may be to just get window seats at this late point. :o

I realise its a busy time of the year when we are going but I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that we can get the window seats. I'm just hoping we don't get split up on the flight.

Virgin hold quite a large number of the seats until check in opens, so you shouldn't have too much trouble getting sat together if you check in early, as you plan to do.:happy-thumb

I would recommend seat guru to find out best seats etc.

Check the exact type of plabe I.E 747 - 400 make and then look under virgin etc. This site tells you the good bad and indifferent
