Just checked in on-line after lots of problems on the website, first telling me it was not successful then it was:angry:

Printed off boarding passes and guess what!!!!

Me, DH and DD seated in row 27 together... OK Great

My Mum and Dad together in row 64 ... right at the back

and my DS (15) on row 46 on his own right in the middle of the plane:thumbsdow

How can this happen when I checked everybody in together.

Have spoken to a hopeless person at Virgin who has passed my concerns on to the Airport authorities!!!:angry::redconfus:redconfus

Couldn't give any explanation:tut-tut:

I was so excited but this has virtually reduced me to tears!!

When you checked in didn't it give you the option to check seat assignments? I'm sure it did when I used it earlier in the year.

I hope you get sorted.

So sorry to hear of this, surely they won't be able to leave your son on his own?

Hope you get it sorted, this is so annoying of airlines to do this to people.

pesonally, I would get to the airport much earlier and order them to sort it out. Not all the seats would be allocated in advance anyway so you should be able to change them. If you do end up with one seat on its own you can always move the party around so its not a child on its own.

When I tried to check in on-line it said I had been unsuccessful try later.

So when I tried later it said that I was already checked in and my seats had been allocated as I mentioned:thumbsdow

Getting picked up by taxi at 5am so should be at airport at 8 for 11.15 flight. I really hope we can change this mess up

DD is daughter, DH is Husband, and DS is son. The D can stand for Disney or dear!;)

Look on the bright side, current regulations do not allow minors to sit next to non-related adults, so Virgin will need to address the issue with your son.

I believe it is Dear Daughter, Dear Husband and Dear Son - unless that is I'm wrong. :o

I'm sure they will sort it out for you.
We couldn't check-in online as they had changed our requested seats. Tried kiosk check-in at airport and it gave us single seats all over the plane, so we had to check-in at the desk and get them to sort it out for us, which they did. I told them that my 3 kids couldn't sit on their own!

Hi Mandy,
I've had problems with Virgin too as they have 'unallocated' our seats  As everyone else has said you should be ok if you get to check in nice and early, they should always seat families together wherever possible, I'm sure all will be ok:happy-thumb Have a great holiday :)
