Can't believe that we've been back from Florida for nearly 2 weeks... won't get back till 2010 so very sad :little-cry:
We have to have a cheaper holiday next year in fact i've already booked to go to Corfu but that doesn't stop me looking:tut-tut:
We went to Port Aventura in Salou (costa dorada) 3 years ago and loved it... its not Orlando but a good time was had.. but i was taken ill while we were there so spent some time in hospital and missed alot of it . so... i have just priced it up for next summer... i know that my kids count as adults but it was more expensive than going back to Florida:eek: How ridiculous is that; the park entrance is included but even so... nearly £5000 to go to Spain!!!! think we'll stick to Corfu and keep saving the pennies so we can go back to the US the year after:happy-thumb

Think that is a wise decision Elaine. Crazy that Spain is dearer than Florida and I know where I would rather go.;)

2010 should be a good year to visit. LOTS of new stuff will (should) be open by then! :happy-thumb

Can't believe any holiday to Spain would cost that much  Surely no-one would pay that much when you can do Florida for less??

Sounds exciting Susan!! We are going in 2010 and I am sooo excited already! Also been to Port Aventura but only on a two day pass. Very good though I know where I'd rather go for 5k:purplejum

Have you already booked for 2010. I have always booked our holidays on the day that the brochures come online, but i am thinking that next time we go to Florida i might book each bit sepaeratly and try to save some money:laughing: I know flights aren't available yet but when can i start looking for accomodation etc:confused:

Hi Elaine, sorry you have just come back - holiday blues are awful. Especially when you return to this weather.
We have booked our villa provisionally privately at the mo. They said they would reserve the dates we want give or take a week either side until we can book our flights. Can't wait to book properly and have something concrete to aim for.

Who have you booked with in the past? Not sure whether to book flights and car togther or not.

What type of accommodation are you looking for? Villa, hotel, condo, town house?

We usually book with First choice because i like them or Thomas cook cos we get a discount through HSBC. We had an apartment on a complex this year (Bahama Bay) which was lovely but on a couple of days we would have liked a swim at the end of the day but couldn't be bothered to get round to the pools so next time i think that we will look for a villa with its own pool:)

With villas you can pretty much book any time in advance, the issue you need to be careful with though is flight availability and times. If you can fly scheduled then you have some flexibility.

The Dibb forum has a good listing of villas, and the Brits Guide recommend

Have you had any thoughts about where you may want to stay, location wise?

I would like to move down to miami for a couple of days but Orlando wise i haven't really thought. I am a bit of a creature of habit and now i know how to get to Bahama Bay we will probably look at one of the villas around there in the hope that we won't get lost next time!:o Do you tend to go to the same place or have you tried a few?
