As we are going to be in orlando during Christmas we have to write to Santa and tell him where we will be. Here in England on christmas eve we usually leave him a mince pie and glass of milk and carrots for rudolph. Lily would like to know what we should leave him on christmas eve when we are in America? Thanks guys!:)

Glass of milk is universal, but instead of a Mince Pie, maybe an oreo?

Homemade Christmas cookies and a glass of milk, with a carrot for Rudolph. :happy-thumb Any cookies will do though, if you don't have home made.
When I was really little, it was always cookies, milk, and a carrot. When my brother and I were about 6 and 7 years old, just at the end of the years when we left cookies and milk for Santa, my mother and grandmother told us we should start leaving 2 glasses of milk and a bottle of beer. My grandfather, a big fan of Old Milwaukee Brewing Company, agreed. ;)
But cookies and milk are 'traditional', along with Rudolph's carrot. :xmas:

We always leave whiskey in case Santa's feeling the cold ;) Last year the kids thought that it would be funny to put clear apple juice in the whiskey tumbler; Santa was not impressed

What is really important is to make sure that Santa, but more importantly, the reindeers know where/near where you are staying.
Last year our primary school gave my son a little bottle (a bit like a test tube with cork in top) to take with him.
In this they had put some oats and some glitter
On xmas Eve he opens the bottle and sprinkles the contents outside door of Villas or outside hotel entrance.
This way Santa and Rudolph know where to go.
My small person was so pleased as, quite rightly, he asked how Santa would know he wasnt at home.
This was a really nice and special:present::present::xmas-tree:
As to what food to leave, well I have always found a selection of Magic Kingdom Turkey legs do the trick.
They eat them, cant be bothered to move and in end have to dump a few extra presents in order to try and get some altitude:happy-thumb

Sad fact. We have been leaving treats out for santa ever since we got married 13 years ago, but our daughters only 7....:o

i think that's how it should be. Our kids have stockings from santa that they open together before waking us up. They were 15 and 13 last year but they still came in to show me what was in their stocking, and i don't think either of them even realised that i already knew what was in the stocking;)

We always leave a glass of milk, carrot and mince pie. I always write a thank you note (from santa) and leave it on the coffee table for DS. He is now 13 but still enjoys the letter. He says he still believes in Santa I am not sure but it would really sweet if he does. I think he bases it on the fact that I worked as a santa's helper at a grotto in our local town center, so he says 'of course santa is real my mum worked with him'
Being in LA this year I hope we get to do something similar:xmas:
