Just booked Dominican Republic!

We have just booked the Iberostar Bavaro in the Dominican Republic after much debating on wether to go here or Orlando. But as its my birthday tomorrow, i got the final say ;)

Turns out that this is the best we can afford this year. A trip to Orlando plus all our spending money would've easily cost us £1000 more. (But definately going back to Orlando next year!!)

The Iberostar Bavaro is number 1 on trip advisor, seems like a very nice hotel indeed with a gorgeous beach, and lovely food (so say the reviews).

Can't wait! :mr-cool: We leave on April 22nd so not long at all to wait!

been to DR, but not that hotel. Beautiful place, lovely people, but everyone will tell you to stay in resort and only go out on reputable organised tours, they cost more to book through your hotel but it is worth it. The island has quite a high crime rate against tourists.
Also watch out for sand flies, they bite like mad and hurt like hell. Lots od mozzie's too, take jungle strength repellant and a net.
