Well, Golly Bob Howdy! A win for the Saints!!
Told Simon it would be a puke-fest on Bourbon Street tonight and tomorrow. Wouldn't want to be them in the morning, but YAY SAINTS!!! Well done, and well deserved!!
And I admire your stamina, raider, for staying up so late. I'm off to sleep, Simon's going for a bite of dinner, then doing a story, then driving back to Orlando. Hope you sleep well, and another big HURRAH for the Saints!
PS: Catlady, if you're still on, have a good sleep too!

Slightly O.T. I really hope that Simon enjoyed listening to Steve Winwood. Steve is my all-time favourite singer and I have seen him a couple of times in concert - he's fantastic.

Ooh, I love Daughtry.

That's what's great about Jimmy Buffett - he just rocks up to tailgate parties and plays. How cool would that be?

Drat and double drat! Normally I'd have been posting here and on Facebook during the game, but I always feel a bit rude doing it when we've got guests here, so this year I decided not to. That would have been so cool (for our guests, too).
It was probably the best game I've ever seen; certainly the first Super Bowl when I've managed to stay awake for the duration. Both teams played great football and with huge determination. The play was at pace from beginning to end and, of course, got really exciting during the second half. I'm still buzzing this morning.
Queen Latifah obviously had problems with her sound feed, which was a shame, but Carrie Underwood performed the National Anthem with aplomb (not that I'd expect any less). I wasn't overly excited about seeing The Who, but what a show! That stage was incredible. Even more so, the feat of getting it on and off again.

What a great game, so glad the Saints won. Unfortunately I fell asleep and missed the last quarter... Just woke up to see them being presented with the trophy. Never mind later on today once we have taken Ian back to Norwich station I might watch it. I am lucky that Alan has explained to me how the game goes so I understand it. To someone who has never seen the game it must seem like a lot of stopping and starting for nothing.
Really enjoyed the Who as well...yes the fireworks and light show was fantastic. It must have been great seeing it live.
Thanks for all the photos Susan, if there are any more would love to see them.

I'm just watching the bus caravan taking the Saints to Miami airport for their return trip home. Very exciting for them and for the city, after what, 46 years?, since their last Super Bowl win.
Just talked to Simon again. He and the Two Nicks are getting their stuff together and tidying up the house, since the Two Nicks have to be to the airport by 3pm. I'm sure all three of us wives will be glad to have our men home safely again.
The guys didn't get back to Orlando until 4am, and Simon still had one story to write, so he had about 4 hours sleep and is starting to drag. Didn't have the heart to ask him to send me any more pictures, but I'm sure we'll get some more posted tomorrow.

Crikey he must be shattered. Still at least he will be home soon and can catch up on some well earned
Don't worry about the pictures until he is rested.

Yeah, he sounds like zombie-man at the moment.
The Saint's flight is just taxiing to the runway, and they had a water cannon salute from the local fire department once they were on the plane. Nice!
The news is showing clips from Bourbon Street last night, and it's just chaos. Their mayor was on one of the morning news shows, saying, "Yeah, we'll have lots of people in detox today, and lots of people in AA (Alcoholics Annonymous)"
(HOLY HECK!! Just as I was typing this, that EXACT CLIP of the mayor came on! )
Ok, just to correct my earlier error, it's been forever since the Saints have BEEN to the Super Bowl. This, my friends, was their first win. Ever.

Good for the Saints, wish I had pressed the record button to watch the second half.
