Our Guide to Monument Valley and Grand Canyon in One Day
The tour begins with a scenic journey to the Grand Canyon airport aboard a mini-bus. Your driver will make sure to fill your tour with as many must see attractions, beginning with views of Lake Mead, the manmade Hoover Dam and the Colorado River. You’ll travel through a small Arizona town named Kingman, where you’ll get a brief glimpse into the daily life of a desert town before continuing to the Grand Canyon. At the Grand Canyon airport a small plane will be waiting to take you to Monument Valley, once again making sure to take a route that offers breathtaking panoramas of the Grand Canyon and the red cliffs on Monument Valley.
Up next is a tour of Monument Valley conducted by a Navajo Indian guide in an off road vehicle. Monument Valley is actually not really a valley at all, but a relatively flat plain surrounded by red cliffs, with the buttes, as well as the remnants of ancient volcanoes, towering from the earth. You will experience the authentic west as your guide takes you into the Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park where you can marvel at the buttes and mesas and other sandstone formations which have been made famous by many Western movies and your guide will also tell you about Navajo customs and traditions along the way. Once your tour has concluded you will take a return flight back to the Grand Canyon to continue your western adventure.
You’ll have around an hour to indulge in the sensational views of the Canyon from Bright Angel Lodge and take some once in a lifetime photos before heading back to Vegas.

- Depending on the number of people, the plane to be used will be either a six passenger or nine passenger airplane. On very rare occasions a 19 to 22 passenger airplane, or a four passenger airplane, may be used.
- With the new Hoover Dam bypass having opened so recently, the authorities have not yet approved a procedure for photo stops at the dam. It is possible that all tour companies may not be able to stop for photos on the new road.
- 100% cancellation charges apply within 45 days of the tour date.
