For the uninitiated, Richard Petty is arguably the greatest and certainly the most successful NASCAR driver ever, collecting a record number of poles (127) and over 700 top-ten finishes including 200 race wins.  Not only this but he was also a pretty well-liked chap winning 9 most popular driver awards - you know you’re in good hands!

Richard Petty Driving Experiences is based at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, located approximately 15 miles from “The Strip” in Las Vegas.

There are 2 Richard Petty Experiences to choose from: 

1) Richard Petty Ride-Along Experience

Experience the thrills of real life racing in this fast and furious adrenaline surging Richard Petty Ride Along driving experience. You’ll ride shotgun in a roaring 600 horsepower NASCAR style stock race car, being spun around the speedway with a professional instructor at the wheel. On this intense driving experience your instructor will have you flying around the track with the immaculate grace of Richard Petty, exceeding speeds of 150 mph.

2) Richard Petty Ride-Along Tour

In addition to the 3-Lap Ride-Along Experience, this ticket also includes return transportation from the Las Vegas Strip, a facility overview of the largest sporting venue on the West Coast, a tour of the Richard Petty Driving Experience Race Shop, as well as a stop at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway Gift Store.

Additional Information

Participants must be at least 14 years old. If under 18 you must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Transportation to the track which is 17 miles north of the city is not included. A one-way taxi can cost up to $50. If you do not have your own transport we recommend that you purchase the Ride-Along Tour which includes transportation from Strip hotels. 

The cars do not have doors so participants must be able to climb through a 15” high by 30” wide window that sits 36” from the ground.
