Our Guide to Sunset Horseback Trail Ride and BBQ

This journey into the sunset not only treats you to the magnificent visions of the west, but gives you the chance to live a little on the wild side, exploring age old Wild West traditions. You’ll take a scenic journey through the desert, trailing through the narrows of a canyon, where erosion has carved out dens for coyotes, bobcats and other small wildlife, before indulging in a typical western style barbeque. Your barbeque will treat you to a juicy piece of steak with salads, baked potatoes, corn on the cob and all the necessary trimmings. Whilst stocking up on all the western hospitality you’ll be able to watch the sun slowly disappear behind the giant geological rock formations - a mind blowing vision which evokes an overwhelming sensation. Once you have finished your main meal you’ll gather around a camp fire, where your guide will give you a brief insight into Western history and culture. Just to ensure that your time in the Wild West has been an authentic one your sunset trail will wind down with the required sing song, marshmallows and s’mores.

Tour operates: Daily, year round.

Start time: Varies depending on the time of year, between 1.20pm and 6.00pm.

Duration: 5 hours door to door including a 1 hour 45 minute horseback ride.

Includes: Roundtrip transportation from Las Vegas; sunset trail ride; Barbecue dinner and camp fire and experienced instructor/guide.

Hotel Pick-up: This tour picks up from the following locations in Las Vegas: Golden Nugget Hotel, Stratosphere Hotel, Circus Circus, Wynn Hotel, Mirage Hotel, Caesar's Palace, Excalibur Hotel and South Point. You will need to make your own way to the nearest pick-up location.
