This popular tour crosses the Golden Gate Bridge for spectacular views of San Francisco and the Marin Headlands before arriving at Muir Woods. The route takes you along the Pacific Coast Highway providing breathtaking views of the coastal mountains near Mt. Tamalpais, the highest point in the Northern California Coast Ranges. The 550 acre Muir Woods is home to Coast Redwoods, some of the world's tallest and oldest trees. With maps and guides in hand, take a short walk or a full day treks through these spectacular woods and take in the immense natural beauty. Set aside in 1908 as a federally protected area, Muir Woods is the only surviving stand of Old Growth forest in the Bay Area today.

Continue to Sausalito at the north end of the Golden Gate Bridge. This small Mediterranean-like village in Marin County, it is now home to some of the country's wealthiest citizens. Here you are free to explore the boutique shops, art galleries, fabulous mansions, amazing food and breathtaking views of the bay at your leisure. Afterwards, you can choose to return to San Francisco on any one of the Citysightseeing Buses which depart hourly or opt to ride the ferry back to San Francisco at your leisure (ticket $9 extra; payable locally).

Departure Time: 9.00am for the direct bus to Muir Woods or you can opt to join one of the Golden Gate and Sausalito Loop Tour departures (departs hourly from 10.00am to 2.00pm from 2800 Leavenworth Street in Fisherman’s Wharf ) and connects with the Muir Woods Loop. 

Hotel Pick-up: Hotel pickup is available at most San Francisco hotels ONLY for departure at 9.00am (direct bus to Muir Woods).
