Escape the madding crowd! For a completely original and fresh take on New York; kick back aboard a glorious 82-foot vintage schooner and enjoy the Manhattan skyline at a more civilised pace….
Built at the height of the roaring twenties, the Shearwater is currently the largest, most classic sailing yacht in New York harbour. At 70 tons, she is twice the weight of most sailboats which results in an exceptionally comfortable cruise. Her elegant design is a hallmark of bygone times when the city started to embrace the heavens and everything was conceived in exquisite detail. It should come as no surprise to find that she has been used as a backdrop for many a glamorous photo-shoot and Time Out New York exclaims that a trip on her is "a sublime experience".
Sails depart from the North Cove Marina at the World Financial Center and last approximately 1.5/2 hours.
