Oh my gawd - it's DISNEY'S fault that it snowed?? Some people have really checked out of reality and got so far up their entitlement mentality there is no hope for the world with thinking like that. The cold weather is something that DISNEY should control for their guests?? Ye gods..... *exits, mumbling.....*

Mind you, the simple answer is to tell them to come to WDW It is already pushing 80F (almost 27C) at 10.30 this morning and is gloriously sunny. Yes, we had a very chilly January and the water parks had to close for a while, but there is certainly no snow - and the sun is never far away!

The next 10 days show us being consistently at, or even above, 80, and that might even put a bit of humidity in the atmosphere, with the possibility of the occasional storm. The overall picture is pretty much ideal, though, with a very warm, dry airflow for much of the month (which would keep us well above average for Feb).

It's very possible it could also be this week! Yesterday, temps reached 86F (30C) in parts of the Orlando area - on February 10!! The record for this time of year is only 87, so it's not surprising we've got the air-conditioning going full blast all of a sudden Less than 2 weeks ago, we were down in the low 40s at night and struggling to get to 60F during the day. That's how quickly things in Florida - and how dramatically!

And it really isn't cooling down at all. We were out at SeaWorld yesterday evening in long trousers and were still too hot! And the foliage is suddenly coming to life in no uncertain terms. I only needed to cut the lawn once in the whole of January, but suddenly the grass (and weeds ) are shooting up. We'll be back to summer mowing VERY soon at this rate! We did have a couple of decent amounts of rain on two evenings, hence the trees are rapidly greening up and it is quite amazing how we have gone from winter to mid-Spring in the space of less than 2 weeks!

Our rainfall for Feb is still only just under an inch, but that has been enough to give the (very) dry landscape a lot of encouragement. There is absolutely zero rain in the forecast for the next 10 days, though, so it will be interesting to see if this growth spurt lasts. But, temperature-wise, there is nothing for visitors to complain about!

Sanford just tied the record for the hottest Feb 20 on record at 85F (29C) while, here in Orlando (Disney Subdivision), it is now at 86. By the usual average, it should be 74. Yikes. The record high for this date here is 89F but, if it's 12 above average now, that would mean we'll be 106 in the summer!!

Wow that is hot, don't mind heat but hoping it isn't too much in April/May!

Over here we are due to be getting what they call "The beast from the East" later in the week. Apparently this is where the wind comes straight from Siberia so it could be fairly chilly!!

Yup, we have a genuine heatwave right now. It's been 84F or higher for a week now and the latest 'high' recorded locally is 87F (30.5C). We could even hit 88 this weekend, which is absolutely ridiculous. Climate change? Not half! And still no rain......
