OK, here are two more for the pot, this time two more of the really chic resorts in Naples (and the Inn on Fifth is truly delightful):

Here's another one (of 16 under way!!) from the Florida Keys. This is the lovely Amara Cay Resort:

Islamorada is a great place to stay in the Keys as it is in the Middle Keys so is ideally placed to allow a visit to all the places you want to visit in the Keys.

PS Looks a lovely place to stay.

Definitely, TF. A really lovely, languid - but classy - vibe that goers hand in hand with the Keys style.

Both The Keys and The Panhandle remain bucket-list destinations for us.

Having done both I can recommend them, albeit they are quite different. The shame is both are such long drives from Orlando.

Hence the reason we've yet to do them.

The Keys are well worth the drive. It's a bit of a boring drive, but it's really not bad. 4 hours, you've just got the engine warmed up!

Once you get to Miami the drive is more interesting, and if your'e going to Key West it's a longer, but MUCH more interesting. Break it up with a couple of days in Key Largo, then head to Key West. I'd even break that up with a stay mid-way back through the Keys. Key West is great to see once, but the rest of the Keys are really what that part of Florida is all about.

And, talking of Key West, here's another review - this time of the ultra-chic (and exclusive) Sunset Key Cottages - perfect Deb territory!
