    Default Universals 2 new hotels

It seems there will be not one but 2 new Universal hotels right where Wet n Wild used to be and the price tag will below $100 a night. Early park access would be included but no mention of thrown in Express Passes.

And here’s the best part… Both hotels will offer our lowest price tag yet, with nightly rates starting at less than $100. Of course, when you stay at the new hotels you’ll enjoy the awesome benefits that come with staying at a Universal Orlando hotel. Early Park Admission to our three theme parks, complimentary transportation across the destination and resort-wide charging privileges are included.
But don’t let that price tag fool you. This new hotel complex will be a destination unto itself. Guests will enjoy the sun, surf and sand with a laid-back coastal feel. Vibrant and natural colors will set a free-spirited and beachy tone, inviting you to hang loose and enjoy your family vacation. Not to mention three pools, poolside bars, two food courts, coffee bars and fitness centers, just to name a few of the amenities.

So to recap, that’s theme park thrills, exclusive benefits and a seamless Universal Orlando experience with nightly rates starting below Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort and Universal’s Aventura Hotel.

The new hotels will be located at the intersection of Universal Blvd. and International Drive, just minutes away from Universal Studios Florida, Universal’s Islands of Adventure, Universal’s Volcano Bay and Universal CityWalk’s dining and entertainment options.

Only Express passes with top three hotels, none of the new ones get them.

Yes, that's true. The Express Pass only comes with Portofino Bay, Royal Pacific and Hard Rock. Early entry is for all Universal hotels, though. The two new ones (where Wet n Wild used to be) should be a very interesting prospect and give Universal more competition for the All Star/Pop Century/Art of Animation resorts at Disney.

Oh, and here is the official Universal press release:

November 6, 2017 Ė Universal Orlando Resort will soon offer two high-quality, high-value hotel options for families looking for theme park thrills, exclusive benefits and a seamless Universal Orlando Resort experience Ė starting at less than $100 per night.

Set to begin opening in the summer of 2019, the hotels will feature a combined 2,800 guest rooms, including 1,450 two-bedroom suites designed to accommodate families of all sizes. Both options will be value-driven, with nightly rates starting below Universalís Cabana Bay Beach Resort and Universalís Aventura Hotel.

Guests will enjoy a seamless and convenient Universal Orlando experience with Early Park Admission to Universal Studios Florida, Universalís Islands of Adventure or Universalís Volcano Bay, complimentary transportation across the destination and resort-wide charging privileges.

The 750-room and 2,050-room hotels will be located just minutes away from Universal Orlandoís three theme parks and Universal CityWalkís dining and entertainment options. Amenities will include a combined three pools, two food courts offering breakfast, lunch, dinner and nearby coffee bars, plus poolside bars, fitness rooms, car rental facilities and more.

Brought to life by the same Universal Creative team behind the incredibly-themed Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, Hard Rock Hotel, Loews Royal Pacific Resort, Loews Sapphire Falls Resort and Universalís Cabana Bay Beach Resort, these all-new options will be destinations unto themselves. Guests will enjoy the sun, surf and sand with a laid-back coastal feel. Towering exterior murals with vibrant and natural colors will set a free-spirited and beachy tone, inviting guests to hang loose throughout their stay.

The hotels will be built on a 64-acre site at the intersection of Universal Blvd. and International Drive, and become the destinationís seventh and eighth hotels. This continues the unprecedented growth ongoing at Universal Orlando Resort. The new hotels will bring the total number of guest rooms at the destination to 9,000 when combined with the 600-room Universalís Aventura Hotel opening in August 2018.

Reservations will be accepted in early 2018.

There are also 2 good artist's renderings of the hotels:

Those are some big hotels, glad they are not getting Express or it would become anything but Express.

But it could certainly make Early Entry a LOT more crowded. With only 2 parks (and then, only sections of those parks) for EE, Universal are going to have to be careful about how they manage their onsite hotels in future. And, with this big growth in hotel capacity, how long before Universal announce a third park...?

Thatís a lot of rooms and yes can see the parks struggling is this a general trend that the 2 main players are encouraging more visitors to stay onsite ? Disney with its free dining is one example I can think of perhaps the new generation of visitors prefer the convieniance which not bode we for villa rentals and offsite hotels
