    As per my earlier post, this is the extract.

    Many prepared foods that are unopened and commercially labeled are admissible (excluding meats and meat products). You may bring bakery items and most cheeses into the United States. As a general rule, condiments, vinegars, oils, packaged spices, honey, coffee, fish, tea, and baby formula are admissible.

    I think the important point we may have all slightly missed in Rs question, is that yes you can take but you will need to declare all foodstuffs, even those that are permissible.

    We take tea every year, Yorkshire DeCaff as you can't get it in Florida, and used to declare it, but don't now as we were told on a couple of occasions by Customs it wasn't needed. What they told us was that if the goods are commercial type product, dry and for personal use it was OK.

    That’s exactly what they told me TF, but I watch too many of those border security progs where they keep saying, but you ticked no food and it’s a legal document etc etc

    So thanks guys for your input we will take some flakes to last the first few days never intended to take a supply for 14 days also take coffee the stuff we bought 2year ago was horrible oh and tea for my lad!!!
    Susan space isn't an issue as because we are in a villa with a washing machine we will wash like we did 2 year ago so won't be taking tons of stuff.
