    Default Anna Maria Island

We've trumpeted the delights of Anna Maria Island (on the barrier island just off Bradenton) in the past, but we were able to pay a trip there this week for an upcoming feature for the iPaper.

We will obviously be writing it up in full in due course, but, in the meantime, we have put together a quick photo album of the trip, including time spent along Pine Avenue, at the Sandbar restaurant, Waterline Resort and the Anna Maria Island Historical Society Museum.

Here's a quick photo tour from our FB pages: https://www.facebook.com/VenessTrave...31551920247237

And yes, the Sandbar restaurant is almost unique in Florida in that you can actually dine at a table on the sand!

It does look nice, we did a quick motor round in 2017 on our way back from Sanibel. Great photos.

We were considering staying here when booking this years holiday last year. Ended up booking a villa in Rotunda but I would be quite happy to stay here.

Waterline has enormous suites, an excellent restaurant/bar, and it's on a marina canal, so many rooms have a nice view. Our suite was absolutely massive, with a full kitchen and a washer and dryer. We could have thrown a party in the shower (sadly, we didn't have enough time. )
