Default Orlando Airport Rated Joint No.1 In USA

The latest rankings from JD Power (one of the major 'rankings' businesses for various types of companies, from airports to car manufacturers) are out, and they see Orlando ranked joint No.1 with Las Vegas in terms of customer satisfaction, which is really good to see. However, you have to bear in mind that this is for domestic travel only, and not international. The overall ratings see that US airports generally have all improved their average scores and that even the increased capacity isn't having a major negative effect.

Would be interesting to see if the rankings would change if they polled international travellers, although I suspect MCO would still do very well.

Unfortunately we can't see the JDPower web site because of the EU legislation that has affected access to US web sites.

Generally MCO is pretty good even for inbound International travelers. The main glitch is when a number of 747s arrive one after the other and they are slow to staff up the Immigration desks. I think Ret mentioned this in a previous thread.

And sometimes there is a lack of seating in the satellite area both where the restaurants/coffee shop etc are and down by the gates used by Virgin, BA, TC and Lufthansa.

Agree with TF, immigration can be long with desks not open to clear it. We were lucky this year as we were upstairs in the bubble so was one of the first to get off. However the queue behind us was pretty long, our best friends were in the back of the plane so we had to wait for them.

I've often wondered why airlines don't negotiate priority immigration clearance for their higher-fare-paying passengers. Pointless having the perk of a dedicated priority luggage carousel if you come down into a full immigration hall.
