    Default New Gulf Coast Hotel

We're currently over on the Gulf Coast in the Clearwater/St Pete Beach area and wanted to flag up a new hotel which has just opened in the quaint city of Dunedin just north of Clearwater.

The Fenway is a vintage 1927 hotel that had been allowed to fall into neglect in the late 1990s but resurrected in recent years by a private organisation and Marriott hotels as an all-new prospect but with strong elements of yesteryear. It is a real boutique hotel with just 83 rooms, a fresh, period style (especially in the lobby bar and with a number of antique touches) and mod cons in the form of the rooftop bar, chic main restaurant and neat pool area mark this out as a true original in a lovely location, overlooking the intracoastal waterway, and just a short boat ride from beautiful Caledesi Island and its award-winning beaches.

Well worth a look here: http://www.fenwayhotel.com/

PS: We'll be writing this up for the Telegraph in due course, but suffice it to say it's a review we're excited to write.

Sounds lovely. We enjoyed our visit to Dunedin a few years back.

Looks to be a really nice hotel. We've not been to Dunedin, so may have to think about correcting that.

The historic downtown area is really lovely, TF (even though that sounds rather grand for its size!), and the Scottish history is quite fascinating.

Here's a quick photo look at the hotel from our FB pages:

Nice to see in the pool shot that there is provision to enable disabled guests to get into the pool.

Yes, every hotel actually has to have them to be ADA-compliant. It is not really a choice these days. Even the hot-tubs have to have them, or a hotel doesn't get the ADA listing.

Wow this hotel looks amazing. We are thinking of staying at the new Marriott on AMI in 2020, but this looks a good gulf coast option too.

With all their live music each evening, it should be a really original choice, in a really cute part of Florida.
