Default 10 Reasons To Visit Florida in 2019!

We have cast our net a bit further afield for this week's ATD blog, looking at 10 forthcoming (or recent) attractions throughout the state that are worth making a note of this year (and are good reasons for visiting!). They include the big revamp of Old Town in Kissimmee, the new Margaritaville Resort, Tampa's food halls, Marinelandland's 80th anniversary, the kennedy Space Center and the fun Trike Tours USA in Naples, among others.

I was wondering if KSC were doing anything to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the moon landings.

Yes, absolutely. Here is the full list of national commemorative events to date:

    https://www.nasa.gov/specials/apollo50th/events.html

The KSC will also have its own special year-long celebration:

"The 50th anniversary of Apollo 11, which takes place in July of 2019, will be the pinnacle of an exciting year at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex and will come to life through the reimagining of the Apollo/Saturn V Center. A galaxy of wonder and exploration awaits guests at the Apollo/Saturn V Center, which is a stop on the KSC Bus Tour. The interactive exhibit and attraction focuses on the Apollo Program from the days leading up to the first launch to the Moon landings that followed. A renovated “sense of arrival” will include revamped landscaping, thematic signage and more, setting a new tone for the experience. New exhibits, such as Moon Scape, will feature a Lunar Lander and augmented reality stations enabling guests to recreate the first steps to the Moon. And the focal point of the Apollo/Saturn V Center, a dramatically suspended Saturn V moon rocket, will be enhanced with projection mapping on its side, showing the iconic footage of the Moon landing."

Great post that highlights the variety to be found in Florida.

I still wonder what the impact of Margaritaville will have on the 192 which along that section is already a busy road.

We stayed in Hollywood Beach many years ago, the beach there is pretty good, and the addition of the Hard Rock should make it much more popular.

And probably not before time that Old Town had a brush up. When we first went it was a fun place to visit, but latterly (apart from the Cruise) appears to have lost its popularity.
