Default Florida's State & National Parks

While Florida is rightly famous for its beaches, theme parks and, of course, sunshine, there is another facet of the state that it is truly rich in, and that is its parks. There are more than 170 to choose from and they represent an amazing array of activities, landscapes and wildlife. We're lucky enough to live here and be able to take advantage of them on a regular basis but, for visitors, it might seem a bewildering choice.

With that in mind, we've highlighted six of the best in this week's special blog for Attraction Tickets Direct, from the grand Everglades National Park to the more small-scale and local Lake Louisa State Park:

Personally I think the State Parks are the hidden gen in Florida.
We have visited a few over the years and they all have different charms and more often than not, you won't hear another English accent.

Tell us about the parks you've visited, SK, and what you liked or didn't like about them. Always interested in hearing real-life experiences!

Even us Theme Park Commandos have been to a couple of state parks, if you count watching the shuttle launch from Kennedy Point Park and getting in an Air Boat at Partin Triangle Park.

I have to say that even on these limited visits I was impressed with the cleanliness of the parking and toilets, there is obviously some care taken of both.
5 Trips to Florida, Christmas in LA, Disneyland Paris twice and odd days here and there.

All my trip reports are now HERE.
