Default The Seven Seas Food Festival!

OK, it's time for another foodie adventure, and SeaWorld is really raising its game once again with this year's Seven Seas Food festival.

We were there on Friday for a good look at all the many (80-plus!) food offerings for the event (which runs Fri-Sun every weekend until May 5), and it made a good subject for this week's ATD blog: https://www.attraction-tickets-direc...99s-seven-seas

Oh, and we also have our own video from our media preview last Friday:

Ummmm...what a lovely preview picture. No one would ever guess I'm experiencing pollen overload.

Look closer. Never actually ate the ice cream. Just the caramel corn.

This Saturday (Mar 16) would be a good one to visit on, karalma, with Bret Michaels on the concert stage. Or the 23rd, with The Commodores!

It's years since we visited Sea World but this would tempt me. I like the idea of Caribbean and South American cuisine, although I'd give the steak, chimichurri and roast potatoes a miss—not because I don't like the sound of it; because I like it so much, it's a regular feature here. I make up a batch of chimichurri most weeks. Black-eyed pea and shrimp fritters are a new one on me and I'd definitely be up for that. I LOVE goat curry but you don't see it often. Susan's looking remarkably chipper and glamourous considering her recent allergy woes. Clearly, though, she's never heard of the adage "Never work with animals, children or caramel-corn encrusted ice-cream".

It was an unexpected thrill, that's for sure!

Glad I don't look like death. Felt horrible, and paid the price the rest of the evening for being outside. I've skipped a few things these past two months, but some things aren't skipable. This was one of them.

I just put up another video on our Veness Travel Media FaceBook page that was another "when tastes go wrong" adventure.
