Default A Day At Tarpon Springs

For this week's ATD blog, we have taken a trip to lovely Tarpon Springs, the Greek-influenced town on the Gulf Coast, just north of Clearwater Beach.

I thought sea sponges were alive and classified as a strange technical form of animal, and that divers cut near the bottom of the sponge, leaving enough to regenerate, and then squeezed out the inner top part which is the sponge part. It’s like a tube with a coating round it, the spongy part is inside.
In theory it’s sustainable as it all regrows but if it’s just pulled and grabbed it kills the organism?
