    Default The Essential Orlando Map

It's here! The latest edition of Steve Munns' excellent Tourist Map of Orlando has reached us (actually, it got here last week, and we've only just got around to posting about it!), and it is notable for a number of reasons:

    1) It remains the best map anyone has produced of the Orlando tourist area, pure and simple. He's been doing it now for 14 years and he's a real specialist when it comes to the cartographic interpretation of this amazing place we call Orlando. (Steve is also the mapman for the Brit Guide, so you can be sure he's the best at what he does!)

    2) It is in a whole new format for this, the 8th edition, changing from a fold-out map to a 40-page booklet that makes navigating the area a whole lot easier, as well as still providing the most up-to-date view of the area, from The Mall at Millenia all the way down to Haines City and the plethora of vacation home developments along Highway 27.

    3) The level of detail - especially for tourists - is immense. Check out the example pages below, but rest assured that all the info you need to navigate the principle areas, at a glance, will be Tourist Map of right at your fingertips.

    4) Steve doesn't do this as a business, but because he has a real passion and dedication for this amazing place, just as we do. That means he takes extra care and attention to what he does, because he wants people to have the best possible time while they are here. It's a cliche these days to say it's a 'labour of love,' but that doesn't mean it's not true.

    5) It is a great keepsake once the holiday is over. No-one likes that after-holiday feeling, but keeping the map close at hand to review once you're back home is a great way to revive all those wonderful memories and experiences you had. Just like with the Brit Guide!

So, those are more than enough reasons to make sure you get a copy of the latest map, and there's only one place to do it: www.orlandomaps.co.uk. We suggest you do it soon!

I've had a couple of Steve's maps over the years and even with my reasonable knowledge of the area have found them to be a great aid and spot on. For the money this is great value.

I've also got a couple of older ones of these somewhere, they are indeed fantastic quality.
5 Trips to Florida, Christmas in LA, Disneyland Paris twice and odd days here and there.

All my trip reports are now HERE.
