Default More Time in the Keys!

We're just back from a very rewarding trip down to the Florida Keys, which remain a unique and distinctive part of Florida. We covered a LOT of ground and managed to see and do a lot, and it will be the subject of an ATD blog in the very near future. Suffice it so say, this makes for a wonderful twin-centre option with Orlando, and a truly iconic drive.

If you've been to Florida often enough, we think this is a must-see area, CL. 3 days will be plenty to get a good look at the islands, and it is very much like being in the Caribbean, in many ways.

I agree with Simon, if you've done the parks and looking for something else The Keys are well worth the drive, the scenery is beautiful and although not the best place we have been a visit to Key West is a must, if only to say you have been!

Agreed. It's not my favourite place on Earth, but I do think you have to see it once, just to say you have. OR, maybe you'll love the busy party vibe. It's such an iconic location, it does deserve a look-see.

We're more the upper and middle Keys type of people. Slower pace, very laid-back, but with plenty of activities (boating, kayaking, fishing, lounging) to keep you happy for several days.

I wonder how many people have a photo of the Southernmost Point? And how many of those don't have someone else in it!!

Great piece as always, although a bit too frantic for us these days.

    This is the reality, TF...!

TBH, Key West is a bit too frenzied for us, too. But the dining (and some of the resorts) are still first class. If we could live on Sunset Key, we would...!
